THERE was a great turnout in Fabrik Nightclub last night to hear the sounds of the 80s and 90s at a special fundraiser.
‘Blast From The Past’ was organised by Amanda Hogan and staff from the Bon Secours Hospital Tralee in aid of their Sudan Appeal.
By midnight the upstairs venue was packed with people paying the €10 admission to enjoy tracks from AC/DC, Snap!, Nirvana, Backstreet Boys, House of Pain and many more with the dance floor rocking.

It also doubled up as a 30th birthday party for Amanda and a cake was produced with everybody singing happy birthday.
The Sudan Appeal was started by cardiologist at the hospital, Dr Kamal Abdalla, a native of Sudan.
On December 27, over 30 volunteers from the hospital in Tralee — including doctors, nurses, physics, technicians, radiographers and administrative staff — are travelling to Ezeidab and Al Damer in poverty-stricken Northern Sudan to bring their skills, vital medical equipment and supplies to the region.
