A GREAT community effort has seen over €4,000 raised for Pieta House over the weekend.

Kerins O’Rahillys GAA Club ran the Run4Pieta event over Thursday, Friday and Saturday where over 400 people of all ages ran, walked, cycled and skated over 462km between them to raise much needed funds for the charity. Everyone did so responsibly respecting social distancing guidelines.

The event finished on Saturday evening at their grounds in Caherina where they released balloons.

Adrian Doody, Juvenile Chairman, was delighted to hear that the money raised so far by the community and club will help many people in our town and county.
