THERE was great excitement in Gaelscoil Mhic Easmainn on Wednesday as the generations came together to celebrate the annual Grandparents Day was held in the school hall.
The occasion is celebrated every year as part of Catholics School Week. This year, a beautiful prayer service was held in the school, where they celebrated the day, in conjunction with St Bridget’s Day last Wednesday and The Blessing of the Throats last Friday.

The day is a celebration of all the children’s grandparents, their teachings, values and traditions, and all of the support that they provide for their grandchildren all year round.
The children of Gaelscoil Mhic Easmainn were delighted to welcome their Grannies and Grandad’s to the school and were eager to show them around. Scroll down for photos…
