THERE was some great football played at Na Gaeil GAA Grounds on Friday morning for the inaugural Community Policing Garda Blitz in association with Cumann na mBunscoil.

Eleven primary schools from the Tralee area took to the field for a fantastic few hours of games organised in the main by Gardaí Aidan O’Mahony and Seamus Moriarty.

Over 140 pupils from the 11 different primary schools took part in the event but they were whittled down to just two in the end; Gaelscoil Mhic Easmainn and St Brendan’s of Blennerville.
