A SPECIAL game of soccer was held on Friday night in the John Mitchels GAA Grounds for a great cause.

Members of the HSE Mental Health Services staff took on a team of local gardaí in aid of the Palliative Care Unit at UHK.

It was also held in support of the 12-strong ‘The Pedal Herd’ cycle group, made up mainly of HSE staff, which will leave Mizen Head in Cork on Tuesday, August 28, and arrive in Malin Head, Co. Donegal on Saturday, September 1.

The game on Friday was hotly contested and ended in a very sporting 2 -2 draw. Well done to all involved.
