MEMBERS of the Kerry Garda Síochána and Na Gaeil GAA ladies took part in the tenth ‘Carmel O’Connor Memorial Shield’ match on Saturday, all for a good cause.
The event, dedicated to the memory of their late Listowel-based former colleague, was held for in aid of the Tralee branch of the Irish Red Cross.
Gardaí from all over the Tralee, Listowel and Killarney areas were part of the team taking on Mná Na Gaeil team at the Na Gaeil Club grounds and it was the home side who emerged victorious on a scoreline of 5-3 to 2-3.
A great time was had and essential funds raised for the Red Cross.
