THE 26th annual Edward Dillon & Santa Rita Estates SuperValu Off Licence of the Year Awards took place last Thursday in the Galway Bay Hotel and Garvey’s Supervalu stores were well represented.
The gala event was hosted by RTÉ’s Shay Byrne and saw Garvey’s SuperValu Dingle come away with one of the four awards, winning the Overall Store of the year award.
Tomas Garvey, Jim Garvey, Kevin O’Connor and Cliona Ekren were there on the night to represent SuperValu Dingle and were presented with their award by Andy O’Hara, CEO of Edward Dillon, Donagh McClafferty, Category Manager at Musgrave Retail Partners Ireland and Tom Gaskin, Santa Rita Estates.

In addition to this three other Garvey’s stores were named as finalists; SuperValu Castleisland, SuperValu Listowel, and SuperValu Tralee.

Each of the finalist stores were judged by Rodney Trenwith and were marked on a range of criteria including overall appearance, innovation and customer service.
The winners of the Off Licence of the Year Awards will enjoy an exclusive trip to Cape Town, South Africa. All finalists received a certificate of achievement on the night.
