GIRLS teams from ten clubs around the county headed for Na Gaeil GAA club on Saturday to remember a Garda who lost her life over 12 years ago.
The 13th Carmel O’Connor Memorial Blitz saw the Under 10 teams play against each other and thankfully the rain cleared up in time for the games.
Clubs taking part were Abbeydorney, Na Gaeil, Austin Stacks, Kerins O’Rahillys, Duagh, Ballyduff, Churchill, Castleisland Desmonds, St Senans/Finuge and Ballymac.
“IT’s the 13th year of the blitz and while it’s a bit wet this morning, it hasn’t dampened the spirits of the girls here,” said one of the organisers, Liz Twomey. Scroll down for photos…
