THE sun came out and so did the crowds as the traditions and skills of the past were celebrated at the newly refurbished Old Forge in Churchill.
Spa/Fenit Community Council celebrated National Heritage week with a whole host of events on Saturday. The day of events included a farrier at work, butter-making, bee-keeping, wild flower display, sugan chair assembly and a knot making demonstration.
One of the main attractions was a Maserati 200s which was brought over from the Norfolk in the UK for the event.

The car, built in 1956, is one of just two of that particular type remaining in the world and was driven by the legendary Sir Stirling Moss at Monza in 1957. It’s a stunning machine and is worth millions of euro.
The dog show attracted a great field of entries while an exotic pet display from The Animal Roadshow provided some great opportunities for photos.
Madame Electra (Peggy Daly), the renowned fortune teller from Transylvania added to the fun.
The traditional vintage tractor and Honda run saw dozens taking part. There was burgers and refreshments, baked goods and much more.
Not to mention the traditional music, song, dance and storytelling in the newly refurbished Forge centre. Great fun for all the family then, thanks to the weather gods! Scroll down for photos…
