Good Friday Pageant Returns Again To St John’s

Good Friday 1

Cast members of the St John’s Liturgy Drama Group rehearsing the ‘Passion of Christ’ Pageant which will take place, as part of the Good Friday Ceremony, at 3pm in the Church of St John the Baptist, Castle St, Tralee, and later at 8pm in the Church of St Stephen and St John, Castleisland. THIS year’s Good Friday Ceremony and Pageant of The Passion of Christ will take place at 3pm in the Church of St John the Baptist, Castle Street, and later at 8pm in the Church of St Stephen and St John, Castleisland.

This Fr Pat Ahern production of ‘The Passion’, with a cast of almost 40, is now in its 14th  year and this will be the second year in which the St John’s Liturgy Drama Group will travel to Castleisland for an evening ‘performance’ and the 2016 cast will include parishioners of the of Castleisland, Cordal and Scartaglin area.

The pageant has proved very popular over the years with Noel King taking on the central role of Jesus.

Good Friday 2

Taking part in the Good Friday Ceremony in the Church of St John the Baptist (3pm), Castle St, Tralee, and later in the Church of St Stephen and St John (8pm), Castleisland, and playing the part of Judas Iscariot will be Jim Adams.

Good Friday 3
