Niall Quinn was in town at the weekend where he enjoyed a night out with friends.
IT was a good weekend for celebrity spotting in town as a soccer legend and star of a famous US reality show were spotted out on the town.
Former Republic of Ireland, Arsenal, Manchester City and Sunderland player, was spotted over the weekend enjoying a night out with friends.
Eagle-eyed fans managed to grab him for photos in The Castle Bar on Rock Street, Betty’s Bar on Strand Street and in The Cearnóg in the town centre.
Also in town at the weekend, though on a completely unrelated visit, was one of the stars of the hit show ‘The Deadliest Catch’. Keith Colburn, who is captain of ‘The Wizard’ in the popular show, was out enjoying himself in Sean Óg’s bar as he relaxed from a cycling trip around the country.
Sandra Byrne managed to snare the man himself for a photo with her and was undoubtedly shocked and delighted at seeing him. “I couldn’t believe it at first, thought it was his double. Keith Colburn, captain of the wizard in Sean Ógs…who’d have thought it. He was really lovely, very obliging,” said Sandra.
