A CROWD of around 200 walkers gathered at The Grand Hotel this morning to set off on the annual Good Friday Walk for the Kerry Hospice.
The weather stayed kind for them, as people of all ages (and a few dogs too) set off on the route which has become an Easter tradition since it started in 1998.
It was one of many walks taking place all over the county to raise much needed funds for the Kerry Hospice as participants were invited to make a donation to take part.
“We’re delighted with the huge turnout for the annual Good Friday Walk,” said Dan Galvin of the Kerry Hospice Foundation. “In excess of 200 people took part in Tralee and all donations are going towards Phase 2 of the Palliative Care Unit which is under construction and will be up and running before this time next year.”
