WHILE the forecast for Saturday was terrible, thankfully the heavy rain cleared away for the afternoon and people were able to get out and about.
One place many of them headed to was a Christmas bazaar in the St Brendan’s Pastoral Centre.
Organised by Listellick NS, parents, pupils and staff all pulled together to make it a massive success and it was packed out for the afternoon.
There was face and nail painting, tombola, various games, raffles, cakesales and bric a brac with all funds raised going back towards the school.
Santa Claus also turned up and families queued up so boys and girls could confirm he got their all-important letters.
Annette Dineen, Principal of Listellick NS, was happy with the day.
“It’s huge success and we’re delighted with the turnout, especially as the weather was so bad. It’s just indicative of the spirit of Listellick school that so many staff, pupils and parents turned up today,” said the Principal.
