THE annual Blennerville Windmill Threshing Festival took place on Sunday and the weather stayed dry for a great family day out.

Running since 1989 — the festival was started  by Paddy O’Shea, Billy Mason, Michael Curran and Timmy Kerins — the day saw a parade of old tractors through the village and afterwards there was a whole host of activities to enjoy.

There was a free bouncy castle, a model train exhibition, a cinema with Thomas the tank engine playing, face painting and many stalls, a dog show and much more.

There was steam threshing out the back of the windmill with vintage tractors and cars and people travelled from all over the county to enjoy the day. Scroll down for photos…
