VISITORS to Siamsa Tíre last night were treated to a fabulous evening of music as a teacher in a local school launched her debut album.
Kilmore, Co. Clare native, Deirdre Millane welcomed friends, family, colleagues from Scoil Eoin and music lovers to the venue to hear ‘Idir Dubh Agus Bán’ played live.
“I’m absolutely thrilled with the turnout and delighted to have so much support from the school, Ballymac and all in the Kingdom,” said Deirdre, a music teacher in the Balloonagh school.

Deirdre was joined on the night by her collaborators on the album, Danny Collins from Rosscarbery on bodhrán and Felix Morgenstern from Berlin on snare.
This was the Kerry launch of the record which has been very well received and is currently notching up air play on Lyric FM, Clare FM and Raidió na Gaeltachta. Scroll down for photos…
