THE rain of the previous night had cleared away, so runners enjoyed dry weather for the annual Rose of Tralee 10k Race on Sunday morning.
Over 400 participants took off from the Tralee Bay Wetlands at 11am in humid conditions on the route, which finished at Denny Street where there was a great welcome from a brass band and hundreds of people cheering them on.
It was remarked upon by many participants that this was one of the best organised races in years, thanks to the efforts of Tralee Harriers.
The winner of the race was Conor O’Mahony inĀ 33:54, followed by Donal White and Brian Murphy. The first woman home was Sharon Cahill in 40:50 with Marie McKenna in second and Catherine Kiely third.
