THE showers which preceded the Grace Moran Memorial Walk failed to deter the crowds from showing up at Kerins O’Rahillys Clubhouse on Sunday afternoon.
They turned out in their hundreds to remember Grace who passed away on November 13 last year.
It was looking like it was going to be a wet one for the participants, but minutes before the start at about 3.15pm, a rainbow appeared, the sun shone and the showers cleared so people could enjoy the walk, led by Grace’s family, up to Lohercannon and down by the canal back to the clubhouse.

Grace’s mother Eileen thanked those who attended and said she would have been proud at such a turnout. It was a fitting tribute to a woman (and family) much loved in the community and many thousands of euro were raised for three organisations — Pieta House, Tralee MS and Cuan Mhuire.
The clubhouse was packed afterwards as people enjoyed teas, coffees and goodies on a day which showed, yet again, the great spirit and compassion in the Tralee community. Scroll down for photos…
