THE community came out in force on Sunday morning for the inaugural Run Ballymac event from St Brendan’s community centre.
With glorious sunshine, conditions were perfect for the half marathon, 10k, 5k and family run events put on by Ballymacelligott GAA Club. Around 350 people of all ages registered for the runs.
The club wished to thank St Brendan’s Community Centre and all their committee, Horan’s Fruit and Veg, Nolan’s Londis for water, Lee Strand for the Protein Milk, Michelle Greaney Optimal Fitness for signs and guidance, Tralee Born to Run for signs and Bernard Reidy Trophyworld.
They also extended a big thank you to all the committee members and stewards, catering, those who supplied all the food, Civil Defence and the Gardai and Mike and Rose Brosnan. Scroll down for photos…
