THERE were around 300 entrants in the Kerins O’Rahillys GAA Club 10k/5k race yesterday from the club.
A cold wind blew as runners warmed up in the club grounds before the 10k runners set off at around 11am, while the 5k runners left 15 minutes later.
The race this year honoured Francis Quill, who has served the club and local community with distinction over the past 40 years.

The first three men home in the 10k were James Doran (33:52), Derek Griffin (34:12) and Sean O’Sullivan (34:36). The first three women home were Caitriona Barry (43:14), Mary O’Connor (45:56) and Doreen Moore (46:50).
The first three men home in the 5k were Ben Hanafin (20:45), Neilus Daly (20:52) and Conor O’Sullivan (23:54). The first three women home were Claire Walsh (20:36), Michelle O’Sullivan (21:24) and Anne Mangan (22:32). Each finisher received a special medal. Scroll down for photos…
