PHOTOS: Hundreds Take Part In Operation Transformation Park Run

A MIST shrouded the town park on Saturday morning but the enthusiasm of the people there was clear as they gathered for the Park Run.

This particular run was held in conjunction with RTE’s Operation Transformation and resulted in nearly 320 participants circling the park three times to complete the 5k course.

There were walkers, runners, families and dogs present and it created a great atmosphere. The Park Run regularly gets around 150 participants every Saturday morning and it’s hoped the newcomers from Saturday will return again.

Also, there is a Junior Park Run every Sunday at 9.30am in the town park for youngsters who can handle a 2k course. For more about yesterday’s run, click here Scroll down for photos…
