THE weather wasn’t ideal at the beginning but it didn’t bother the hundreds of runners taking part in the Kerry’s Eye Tralee International Marathon on Saturday.
Around 800 took part in the event which consisted of the full, half, 10k and 5k runs and Race Director, Martin O’Sullivan was very happy with how the day went.
“We’re absolutely delighted with the Tralee International Marathon, especially with the 5k and 10k events. That’s really an aspect we want to grow to get more people involved,” he said.
First home in the full marathon was Aidan Hogan from Cork, followed closely by Denis Keane from Kerry. There were many different categories of prizes which can be seen on the Tralee International Marathon Facebook page here and the Run My Results website here
But for many is was just about fulfilling a goal of finishing the run whether it be the full, half or shorter races. Heartiest congratulations to you all. See photos from the event here…
