THE IT Tralee conferring continued on Friday morning and this time it was the students from the School of Health & Social Sciences receiving their just rewards.
The graduates received qualifications in a range of courses in Nursing & Health Care Studies and
Social Sciences.
The conferrings are the main highlight in the IT Tralee calendar with almost 1,000 students graduating on Thursday and Friday at the Brandon Hotel Conference Centre in Tralee.
Each of the 26 counties, in addition to a number of graduates from Northern Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe as well as students from as far away as China, Canada, Malaysia and India. In total over 30 nationalities were represented at the three conferring ceremonies.
President of the Institute, Dr. Oliver Murphy paid tribute to all of the graduates and their families for what they have achieved, whilst wishing all of those being conferred well in their future endeavours.
“I would like to congratulate all of our graduates, their families and friends. Graduation is a day to be cherished. It marks the beginning of a new chapter in our graduates’ lives. Employment opportunities are excellent, with a recent survey showing that 82% of our graduates securing work or pursuing further education opportunities such as Masters of PhDs within 6 months of graduating.” Scroll down for photos…
