EVERYONE’S out and about walking and running these days (between the storms and driving rain that is) and the folks at John Mitchels GAA Club are no exception.

Like other clubs in town, they’ve joined up with Operation Transformation and Get Ireland Walking to host a series of walks at their club grounds at Camp, Ballyseedy.

They’ve the perfect place to host the walks too with the new 880m walkway around the pitches, which is lit up at night.

Around 100 people of all ages turned up for the walk which took in six laps of the walkway, equal to five kilometres.

Afterwards there was tea and refreshments for all in the complex while Michelle Greaney of MG Coaching gave a talk on health and fitness. The walks will continue for the next seven weeks on Friday nights at 6.30pm and everyone is welcome to take part. Scroll down for photos…
