KIERAN Donaghy wasn’t the only local man having book launches and signings this week.

John Cleary held the launch on Monday for his book of photographs, ‘Through The Lens’, which features images of Tralee and Kerry from the 1970s. Then on Saturday afternoon he was in O’Mahony’s Book Shop on Castle Street for a book signing event.

“I started at 2pm and there’s been a steady flow of people since,” said John, when I called in at 3.30pm on Saturday. In the 15 minutes I was there he signed about 10 books so it’s been a huge success.

“I’m very happy with it. I’ve had to restock the books here in O’Mahonys three times in the past week. It’s coming up to Christmas and people are buying it especially to send to their relatives overseas in the States, the UK and beyond,” said John. The book is available in O’Mahonys priced at €20.
