THE Kerry Film Festival held its gala opening at the Killarney cinema last night, where the theme of the event was ‘Made In Kerry’.
Guests enjoyed a pre-drinks reception in The Ross Hotel before the cinema screened shorts from Bertie Brosnan (‘Sineater’), Gary Lennon (‘After Words’), Brian Bowler (‘Fides’), Kevin Kelleher (‘The Anniversary’), Keith Bogue (‘All Washed Up’), Hugh O’Donoghue (‘The Power Of Attraction’) and Muiris Crowley (‘Change In The Weather’).
Afterwards there was a Q&A with the directors. It’s part of a series of screenings and events taking place over the next four days, culminating in an awards ceremony in Killarney on Sunday in The Malton Hotel.
