GREAT servants of the Kerry Hospice Foundation gathered at The Meadowlands Hotel on Sunday for a special event to mark their contribution to the organisation.
The ‘appreciation day’ for the volunteers saw around 20 people from all over the county receive a framed certificate from Dr Billy O’Connor.
Kerry Hospice Ambassador Deirdre Walsh was MC for the day and Chairman Jack Shanahan told all in attendance that those present helped raise €12m for the Hospice over the years.

A special mention was given for 92 year old Mary Daly from Cahersiveen who is still fundraising and organising events in her area.
The recipients were Ger Devine, Kay Woods, Jack Shanahan, Marian O’Connor, Jacqui O’Connell, Sarah O’Connell, John Croghan, Batt O’Keeffe, Maria McSwiney, Majella Griffin, Mairead Moriarty, Oifig and Phoist Fionn Trá, Marion O’Sullivan, Kathleen Brennan, Stella Boyle, Willie Cleary, Mary Daly, Pat Doolan, Julett Culloty and Joan Flahive.
