KERRY hotels and pubs took home awards yesterday at a reception in Dublin City Hall on for the 27th CIE Tours International Awards for Excellence.
Thirteen overall category winners from around the country were chosen according to customer feedback with a total of 99 winners including hotels, entertainment venues and tourist destinations ranging from Best 5 Star Hotel Award to a national heritage award.

Kerry winners included Benners Hotel, Dingle for Best 3 Star Hotel; Special Dinner Feature category was won by Killeen House Hotel while Best Lunch went to Davitt’s Kenmare.
A number of Kerry hotels received Merit Awards including The Dunlop Hotel; Killarney Park Hotel; The Brehon; International Hotel, Killarney; Killarney Plaza Hotel; Killarney Avenue Hotel; Killarney Towers Hotel and The Malton.
Munster Merit Visit Award winners included Killarney Horse & Carriage Tours; Tangney Tours – Jaunting Car; Muckross Schoolhouse; Muckross House and Gardens; John B Keane’s Pub; Brendan Ferris Sheep Dog Trials; Robert Power Sheep Dog Trials; Gabriel Kavanagh Sheep Dog Trials & Famine Cottage and Kissane Sheep Farm.
