THE construction of an industrial building in Fenit Harbour is taking shape.

Liebherr began work on the unit in January of last year and looks now to be in the latter stages of construction.

The structure consists of a hall and administrative building intended for final assembly of components prior to loading on cargo ships.

The German-owned crane firm based in Fossa, Killarney last year took out a 99 year lease to export worldwide from Fenit harbour.

Which gives an indication that Liebherr are serious about their future in Kerry and in Fenit.
