BY the time they opened the doors for the CH Chemists Christmas Shopping night, the queue had gone all the way down to Penneys, across The Mall and snaked around Denny Street as far as The Roast House cafe.
It seems people just love a bargain and staff were ready for the hordes when the doors opened at 6pm for the ticket only event. Santa Claus also made an appearance and chatted to shoppers as they waited.

The event was, of course, an enormous success and hundreds went in search of Golden Tickets in goodie bags for that €500 hamper, discounts of up to €20 off fragrances and cosmetics and enjoyed mulled wine and cookies upstairs.
