A GREAT fundraiser was held in Mercy Mounthawk on Friday morning to raise funds for a worthy cause.
First year students sat down in the canteen area to enjoy a bowl of cereal thanks to an idea from Tori Lonergan, an LCA 2 student.
“The event is to raise awareness about Childline and part of a task Tori must complete as part of her course,” said teacher, Sinead Thornton.
Students were encouraged to make a small donation to Childline, while the milk for the bowl of Cheerios was kindly sponsored by Lee Strand.
A good morning’s work all round!
