THE Imperial Hotel was the location for a test of movie fans’ knowledge as Kerry Film Festival held a table quiz to raise funds for their outdoor screenings this season.
There were questions on classic cinema, the 70s, 80s, 90s and movies since 2000, a theme tunes round, film poster round, Irish cinema and much more with spot prizes provided by businesses in town.
The first prize was an all access pass to this year’s Kerry Film Festival (all screenings, opening gala etc) which takes place in October and a year’s membership to the Secret Cine Club for runners-up.
There will be 14 outdoor screenings around the county starting soon and they need funds to cover costs. They plan to have a screening at the K-Fest Arts Festival (possibly the new Star Wars movie, but that has yet to be confirmed) while they plan to screen a movie in Pearse Park also this summer as well as at other locations around Kerry.
