MOVIEGOERS at Siamsa Tire enjoyed a performance by indie-pop duo ‘Summer Camp’ as they played their soundtrack to ‘Beyond Clueless’ on Friday night, as part of the Kerry Film Festival programme.
The audience included members of the public, film industry movers and shakers (including Chief UK Film Critic with showbiz bible ‘Variety’, Guy Lodge) and Kerry Film Festival staff who were taken back to their teenage years accompanied by the jangly pop sounds of the English band.
Narrated by cult teen star Fairuza Balk, ‘Beyond Clueless’ is a dizzying journey into the mind, body and soul of the teen movie, as seen through the eyes of over 200 modern coming-of-age classics.
The film was written and directed by Charlie Lyne with the original score by Summer Camp.
The festival concludes on Saturday night with the closing awards ceremony at Siamsa Tire (click on the above ad for more details).
