MONDAY morning saw two schools reopen their doors with Tralee Educate Together welcoming six new arrivals, while down the road two classes of  juniors began their schooldays in CBS.

“It all went very well this morning,” said junior and senior infants teacher, Gail Kelly at Tralee Eductate Together at Collis Sandes House. “The children settled down very quickly. There were no tears at all and the moms only stayed for five minutes. It’s all great so far,” said Gail.

Down the road in CBS Clounalour, the children were also adapting to their new surroundings.

“Everything has gone really well. Big smiles and no tears – maybe a few from the parents because mommy can be more upset sometimes,” said junior infants teacher, Laura O’Keeffe.

“We had a few tearful pupils and parents but it went mostly fine,” said the other junior infants teacher Sarah Behan.
