TOURISM and business interests were present for the launch of the new ‘Tralee By The Sea’ brochure yesterday at Tralee Bay Wetlands.

‘Tralee by the Sea’ showcases the variety and diversity of activities and attractions on offer in Tralee and has been distributed to hotels and businesses around the town.

Mary O’Connor Manager at the Tralee Bay Wetlands was involved in the design of ‘Tralee by the Sea’ brochure.  She said many tourists and visitors to Tralee did not realise that Tralee was situated by the sea and was on the Wild Atlantic Way and it was time to get that message out there.

Tralee also has many major initiatives on protecting our environment and this year the Tralee Bay Wetlands Centre has led the way in protecting our Bee population by declaring 2019 as The Year of the Bee with Free Talks every month encouraging everyone to protect and maintain our beautiful Kerry environment.

She praised the efforts of Evan, Alex and Dylan Nealon whose efforts to clean up the canal won them a Young Environmentalists Award last week and the boys were in attendance at the launch.

The Aqua Dome hopes to encourage and inspire everyone to do their bit for the planet by following their environmental journey https://aquadome.ie/category/news/environmental/
