TRANSITION Year and 5th year students at Pres Tralee sold ice-cream at the  School Sports Day  which took place this week  in glorious sunshine.

The girls raised over €300 for ICAN  -the Irish Children’s Arthritis Network  with a long queue for most of the afternoon.

As usual , the PE department and 5th year Sports committee coordinated a wide range of activities from the serious athletics to other fun events such as the spud and spoon race, hula hooping and hopscotch!

The 5th years  did a great set of warm-up exercises with the whole school at the start, the DJs  kept everyone entertained with their music collated from all the music requests submitted by students during the week  and  the staff members acted as supervisors of the different events.

As usual, the 6th year students made a huge effort to dress-up for their last Sports day as is the tradition in Pres Tralee – a great turn-out for their fancy dress parade as usual. Scroll down for photos…
