SIAMSA Tíre’s theatre was sold out on Thursday night as over 300 pupils from Presentation Primary took part in a fantastic concert showing the talent and creativity at the school.
Presentation has been taking part in the Creative Schools Programme and is part of a five year pilot project that aims to reinforce the impact arts and creativity has on student learning development and well-being.
With the help of creative associate, Naomi Cahill and visual artist, Áine Ní Chíobháin, they engaged all the partners – the children, teachers, SNA’s, visiting teachers, parents and relatives in a creative collaborative process, incorporating multiple art forms, culminating in the showcase/performance in Siamsa Tíre.

Every child from Junior Infants to Sixth Class had a role to perform in the project. For the ‘No Boundaries’ concert, the school linked with the community – Siamsa Tíre, Kerry School of Music, Presentation Secondary School, Gaelscoil Mhic Easmainn, Presentation Parents and Grandparents, T.I.R.C and Jam Camp.
Musical accompaniment for the show was provided by local musicians Damien Greer, Mike Leahy and John Quirke, who have family members in the school. Scroll down for photos…
