Visitors during the week included local musician Seamus Harty, Shane Casey (Billy Murphy from ‘The Young Offenders’) who did a workshop with students, a young poet/writer E.R. Murray, neuro-diverse writer Carrie Jade Williams, Tony O’Callaghan who wrote ‘The Kerry Coast’ spoke to students and regular visitor poet Gabriel Fitzmaurice also took part.
Wednesday saw the annual Gala Fashion parade as staff and students strutted their stuff dressed as characters for a whole myriad of literacy (and celluloid) tales, while on Thursday some of the students were off to the cinema to see ‘Sing 2’.
