A SPECTACULAR extravaganza of music and song entertained audiences at Presentation Secondary School on Wednesday as students showed their talent in ‘Magic of the Musicals’.

It was the first time in 25 years that the school put on a musical and the Sports Hall was completely transformed with a large stage installed and seating for around 400 people.

Oliver Hurley was charged with getting the Transition Year students ready to take to the stage to perform a vibrant mix of songs and acts from well-known musicals such as Grease, Mama Mia, Oliver, Wicked, Cats, Hairspray, Les Miserables and many more renowned musicals.

There were two shows at 11am and 7pm. The early show saw pupils from primary schools from Tralee descend on the hall creating a wonderful atmosphere.

Beginning with a medley of songs from ‘The Greatest Showman’, the students went from strength to strength throughout the show and repeated their excellent performance later that evening for an older audience. Well done to all involved. Scroll down for photos…
