THERE was another great turnout for the annual Jimmy Duffy Memorial Cycle from St. Pat’s GAA Club, Blennerville on Saturday morning.
They set off in cloud but mostly dry conditions (with a bit of misty rain) to Castleisland and back home followed by refreshments, tea and coffee in Quanes Bar Blennerville.
The celebrations continued with a music session in Quanes Bar, where food & refreshments were served.
The event is held annually to remember the local musician and keen cyclist. Jimmy was 67 years old when he died as a result of smoke inhalation after fire at his home on Church Street, Blennerville, in January 2010 and a cycle has been held for the past number of years in his memory.
