THE weather stayed dry in Christ The King Park in Ballymullen for a special celebration for the community in the area.

The residents of Castlemorris, Ballymullen, Murphy’s Terrace and Stephen’s Terrace organised the event as they are so close-knit and have pride in their area.

“We wanted to link the four areas to work together to improve the area. I would love to see the corridor from Skehanagh down to Clonmore Terrace to be maintained and keep it looking so well,” said one of the organisers of the evening, Joan O’Regan.

Fr Piotr Delimat of St John’s Parish gave a blessing and there was a great spread of sandwiches, cakes and tea to enjoy afterwards as residents enjoyed a chat. Scroll down for photos…
