A PERFECT example of the community coming together to help one of their own was in evidence in Benners on Friday night.
The occasion was ‘Bands For Bubbles’, a fundraiser to help out Tralee native Siobhain Maher Sequeval, who, in December, suffered a major stroke and aneurysm in France where she lives with her husband Francois. She is currently in a hospital in Nice.
The venue began filling up soon after the doors opened at 9.30pm and with the town’s finest rock bands playing, they were in for a great time.

Midnite Cafe, Zedz Dead, Renovator and Brightside as well as Atlantic DJs Kerry Alan Farmer gave their services on a fantastic night and over 250 tickets were sold. Businesses in town also stepped up and generously donated spot prizes for the night.
Siobhain’s sister, Denise Hanbidge, was delighted with the public’s response to the fundraiser and their gofundme page which had already raised nearly €11,000.
“We want to thank Orlagh Winters and all at Benners for their help, the bands and DJ of course because we couldn’t have done it without them. The amount of spot prizes donated by businesses is just unreal. We’re blown away with the support for Siobhain and we want to thank everyone so much,” she said. Scroll down for photos…
