PHOTOS: Schoolchildren Enjoy Garda-Organised Football Blitz

THERE was some great football played at Na Gaeil GAA Grounds on Friday morning for the inaugural Community Policing Garda Blitz in association with Cumann na mBunscoil.

Nine teams from eight primary schools from the Tralee area — Abbeydorney, CBS, Holy Family, St Brendan’s Fenit, Spa, Scoil Eoin, Scoil Nuachabháil, Gaelscoil Mhic Easmainn— took to the field for a fantastic few hours of games organised in by community gardaí.

The winners were Scoil Eoin with runners-up Scoil Nuachabháil and Garda Aidan O’Mahony was on hand to dish out the medals at the end and commend all involved. Scroll down for photos…
