SCHOOLS from all over Kerry had teams taking part in the inaugural Educate.ie Geography Quiz for Junior Cycle Students at CBS the Green on Thursday evening.
Over 15 schools across the county took part in what was a very competitive night. The table quiz was organised by the newly formed Kerry Geography Teachers Association. The Kerry GTA was founded this year by Karen Tobin, Rebecca Tobin, Karen Blennerhasset and Carol O’Dowd.
The overall winners on the night were Meán Scoil Nua an Leith Triúigh, from Castlegregory, who took an impressive lead to win 1st and 2nd place. 3rd place was secured by a 2nd Year team from CBS the Green.

The winning team received the inaugural Geography Quiz trophy for their school along with a cash prize of €100.
All participants received a complimentary gift for their participation and refreshments were provided on the night, along with many spot prizes.
