IT’S a day when children from Scoil Eoin can get messy and learn about science at the same time.
Science Day saw hundreds of pupils take part in the school hall and they had great fun as the event’s coordinator, teacher Aileen Griffin, explained.
“Classes third to sixth, about 350 pupils, have been preparing their experiments all week. This year the most popular material to use is slime. It’s everywhere, but they love it. We even have cows and sheep hearts and there’s a quiz where if you answer questions correctly you get a sweet.
“We also held a poster competition with prizes. It’s great fun and very messy, but that’s part of the deal of Science Day,” she said.
The pupils seemed to be having lots of fun showing us the experiments when we took some photos on Wednesday…
