THERE were spot prizes galore, face painting and a Radio Kerry show broadcast from the St Vincent de Paul shop on Castle Street, as it held a party to celebrate its first birthday on Thursday.
All day long there were cakes and refreshments served with special offers including 50% off ladies clothes.
Deirdre Walsh from Radio Kerry presented Talkabout from the store between 1.30pm and 3pm on the day.

The manager of the shop, Sharon Farrelly, said; “We had a great day, there was loads of positive feedback from our regular customers and some new faces as well. We gave out lots of spot prizes in the raffle and I can’t thank the local businesses enough for their generosity and the volunteers who did trojan work on the day.
