The Austin Stacks Night at the Dogs was a successful fundraiser for the “Nuns Field” pitch development in Connolly Park.
Numbers in attendance were down somewhat on previous events, perhaps due to the later start-time due to hot weather conditions, but those present had an enjoyable time, thanks for making the effort.
Well done to the fund-raising committee, it was evident from the huge number of ads on the programme that they had their work done beforehand, and thanks to all who sponsored races and participated as nominators. Please support the businesses that support The Rock!
Juvenile members of the club enjoyed the bouncy castle and participated in 2 track races – the prize for the full Austin Stacks kit was under 8 player, Gearóid Corcoran.
Club Chairpersons, Liam Lynch and Máiréad Fernane co-ordinated the draw for the Nominators Prizes. The winners were:
• €1,000 – Mike Counihan and David Barry.
• All-Ireland Football Ticket package – Pa Laide.
• Kieran Donaghy birthday party attendance – Máiréad Costello.
• Munster Rugby Ticket package – Morgan O’Connell.
