SATURDAY was a good day for two Tralee sides in County League action.
Austin Stacks enjoyed a three-point victory over Glenbeigh/Glencar at Connolly Park, while up in Strand Road, O’Rahilly’s got the better of a team who have proved a thorn in their side over the past couple of years.
Kerins O’Rahillys were 0-16 to 3-1 victors over the Killarney Legion who didn’t manage a point until the last five minutes of the game.

The Tralee team were able to call on the services of Kerry star Tommy Walsh who chipped in with six points, while John Ferguson contributed four points in the game. The Killarney side drew level five minutes into the second-half (0-9 to 3-0) but then the Blues pulled away tacking on seven more points to Legion’s one.
Over in Connolly Park, Austin Stacks were 1-10 to 1-7 winners over Glenbeigh/Glencar.
After an even enough first half, the sides went in at half time 0-4 each.
David Mannix had another good day with seven points, (0-5 from frees) and with the sides level in the closing stages, Jack O’Shea popped up with a goal to settle the matter.
