KERRY star Kieran Donaghy took time out from his preparations for yesterday’s county championship battle with Dingle to help launch a charity campaign.

Tesco Ireland have name Temple Street Children’s Hospital as their charity of the year and the Stacks man was happy to help out on Saturday.

“Today [Saturday] we’ve a national face-painting day across all Tesco stores in Ireland to launch our charity of the year which is Temple Street Children’s Hospital,” said Aidan Brosnan, Personnel Manager with Tesco Manor West.

“We asked Kieran if he would come up to help launch it and he said no problem. This is the start of a year of events in aid of the hospital. We’ll have walks, in-store events and more over the next year,” said Aidan.

The Austin Stacks supremo arrived and signed autographs and posed for photos with customers. He didn’t bother getting his face painted though.
