IT might have been colder than recent days, but students from Gaelcholáiste Chiarraí weren’t long getting warmed up at Na Gaeil GAA pitch on Friday.
The school held a sports day with donations made on the day to Jigsaw Kerry, the organisation which helps young people with mental health issues.
Organised by teacher Dónal Ó Ruanaidh, with help from the other teachers, some 360 students took part run a range of events including cartwheel racing, a skipping competition, sack race, athletics, hurling and much more.
There was also a bouncy castle ‘obstacle course’ which was keenly contested as students went off in pairs to negotiate. Not a bad way to spend a Friday! Scroll down for photos…
