AFTER a, literally, shaky start thanks to Storm Hannah, the Wild Mind Festival in Fenit continued on Saturday and brought an exciting programme of events.

The Wild Mind outdoor festival is a celebration of the natural environment, nestled between the Kerry mountains and the Wild Atlantic Ocean for people to engage with the local environment, to learn about our wildlife systems and to open our minds to potential for change our planet so desperately needs.

It was windy when we arrived on Saturday afternoon, but there was still a decent turnout of people to enjoy the activities.

We encountered a group on a foraging expedition with Darrach, while there were other stands to keep people entertained at the playground area and talks also took place in the barn (located towards the back of the playground car park) throughout the day.

It all continues on Sunday and it’s well worth heading out with the family to Fenit for the afternoon. Head to their website here for more. Scroll down for photos…
